Wow - I didn't realize it had been so long since I've updated - sorry about that!

Wednesday, March 28 will be quite a day for Ron.  After serving with the Allegan County Sheriff Department for 28 years he will officially retire!!!

Please keep him in your prayers as he goes through the last week and a half as I'm sure it will be very emotional at times.  He is ready and excited and we are both looking forward to spending a wonderful summer with each other and with family and friends - at home, at the "galvinzed getto" in Irons and on a motorcycle trip or two - we just need a sidecar for Cooper - not!!!

Have a great week every one!

I hate lockers - they are a pain in the .......!!!!!  They took up most of my day, but I think I have them all fixed - I really do believe that a little mouse went in and changed combinations and didn't tell anyone!!!!!  Not really, I just have to many to keep track of and they get messed up, but it's helps to think a mouse might of accomplished this - other than that - the day went well, just very busy!  I'm so glad that I had  stamp with my name on it so I didn't have to sign my name 800 times for the wonderful "technology" use forms - that was what most of my day was made up of - stamping forms, handing out parking permits and trying to figure out the lockers!!

But, it was good to see the kids again - it will be a good year - tomorrow is another day!

Wow - a few more days and it would of been a year since I updated this thing - sorry about that!  And, in this year so much as happened!  If you would of told me a year ago that my daughter, Becky, was going to become Mrs. Jeff Eckert on September 30th - I would of told you that you were crazy!  But, that shows you what I know!  September 30th at 2:00 pm. at Gun Lake State Park we will be adding a member to our family - a son - Jeffery Alan Eckert - we are so happy for them!

This is also a big year for birthdays!!!  My baby, Sarah, turns 21 in just a few days, September 13th and Ron turns 50 a few days later, September 21!  Wow!  The next week, Jeff and Becky both celebrate their birthdays - Sept. 26 and Sept. 27 - all this before the big day on September 30!  It's going to be a very good month!

This weekend has been a wonderful family weekend!  Brendon came home to be with Sarah (and us) from Cedarville - we took a family canoe trip on Saturday with Ron's brother Al's family, Sarah and Brendon, Becky and Jeff and us - 2 kayaks and 4 canoes going down the Kalamazoo river - it was so much fun!  Then we had a cookout at the Lovetts on Little john Lake!  A great ending to the day!

Sunday Ron and Jeff went shooting and Becky and I got to go for a long walk and go to the antique shops downtown - then off to the movie - Talladaga nights - it was so funny and so stupid - it was loved by all!  I don't know what today will bring - but right now I"m off for a bike ride with Ron.

Tomorrow is the big day - back to school for the students and my office will be swamped!  Pray for me.

Time for a bike ride - Bye

It's been almost a month since I've entered anything - sorry bout that.  I'm at the computer all day at work and it's not my first place I go when I get home - at least not for any great length of time.

We've celebrated 3 birthday's - Sarah, Ron and Becky - all were wonderful and fun!  Ron 's dirtbike and a quad met head on up in Kalkaska going about 45 mph - both guys walked away from the crash - the dirtbike and quad were not so lucky - but - Ron has never crashed a bike he couldn't fix - so that's what we are doing - building a new dirtbike.  After tonight - I can add to my expertise (or at least I've learned a little) that I can help put in a motor, carburator and rebuild a dirtbike and I know what the parts look like!  It wasn't too bad, but I am very tired now and my hands won't come clean!!!!  It's starting to look like a bike again.  Of course, tomorrow we head to Flint to pick up the other dirtbike that Ron purchased on ebay.  His new philosophy is " you never know when you will crash, so you should always have a spare dirtbike" !!!

Work is coming along - I'm learning about all the pupil count stuff and trying to get it right.  The kids need prayers with all the situations that they are going through - God put me there for a reason.

I miss my girls - they kidnapped Cooper for a few days.  He was needed though - to help baby sit "Turk" and teach him how to be a good dog.  I think Turk learned some things and Cooper was able to tire him out so he would sleep at night.  It's good to have him back here with me though.  I'm sure he will be kidnapped again - he's lucky - not every dog has two homes!!!

I need to go to sleep!  Momma J
